Best Practices:

• Train Staff

  • Inform your employees of the CA Breastfeeding in Public Law (below) and your business' support at their initial orientation and review periodically at staff meetings​

• Provide a Comfortable Space

  • ​If there isn't already chairs available for mothers sit and nurse, offer her the use of an employee space​​

• Inform Patrons

  • Post a sign or decal advertising your breastfeeding friendly stance​

  • Encourage mothers to stay and nurse if they seem apprehensive or indicate they need to leave
